Dec. 27th, 2008 08:02 pmOk so after the abomination that was XMen 3 I'd pretty much sworn off the series. I mean there's bad and then there's X3. However, XMen Origins: Wolverine is making me reconsider my position. In great part, I'm not ashamed to admit, due to the casting of one Taylor Kitsch as Remy LeBeau (a.k.a. Gambit). Yes, I know he was the same guy from the unbelievably wretched "The Covenant" (stop giggling,
aelfsciene), but I totally forgive him. Just look at him in costume with the cards and the staff. Seriously, check it. Also Domonic Monaghan is in it playing...well somebody I don't honestly recognize who was apparently in an XMen spinoff called The Exiles with which I'm almost completely unfamiliar. Still, Dom!
And the Blob's in it which makes me giggle as I will forever hear the phrase, "No force on earth can move the Blob!" in my head in relation to the character. Uh, "Pride of the XMen" for those who aren't quite as geeky as myself. Ooh and someone confirm for me that there's a shot of baby Ororo in there as well. If anybody spots anyone else lemme know.
Anyway, nice copy of the trailer here.
