elo_sf and tersa for making me the proud mom of a TiVo system. Yes, I have joined the twenty first century at last. I've started the season pass project which I suspect will continue over the next few weeks wherein I exclaim, "Oh yeah!" at random moments and hastily add a new title to the queue.
One show that will not remain on the queue is the abomination based on my beloved "Cupid" series. As I said in comments on a previous post, watching it was, I expect, akin to the experience of having a loved one turned into a flesh-eating zombie. You know that creature staggering and moaning in the next room that looks like your beloved is just a hollow shell, the heart and soul are long since gone, but you still can't bring yourself to look away. If only some merciful soul would come along with a double barrel shotgun and put the show out of its misery.
Seriously, I sat there during the first therapy session scene and said the lines along with the characters, only I did so the way they were originally delivered...and then I broke down and cried a little. If only the main actors had any sense of comic timing...or charisma. Not that they could compare to the originals even if they did, but maybe the experience would've been less painful.
