I was listening to KFOG on the way into work today and they had a great call in idea. Basically they asked this question, what song or songs do you listen to when you want to put yourself in a good mood? The callers had some truly great ideas but I'd love to hear what the folks on my f-list would choose. Personally I can never go wrong with "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by the Police. How about you?

10cc - Dreadlock Holiday, although that might be too mellow.
Actually, a lot of Tori Amos cheers me up. Yeah, I'm weird. If I had to pick just one then Happy Phantom. But if I could pick more than one add Glory of the 80s, She's Your Cocaine, and Raspberry Swirl.
I'm a fan of big band for cheering-up, too. Almost anything by Duke Ellington, Glen Miller, etc. will get me going.
Cibo Matto - Sci Fi Wasabi, although Spoon is a close second and the entire Stereotype A is worthy.
Sting - Straight To My Heart, mostly because it's in 6/7.
John Hiatt - Little Head, although it might be a guy thing, but that guitar bend is something. Maybe Memphis in the Meantime instead?
Paul Simon - Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes
No Harry Belafonte? Can anyone remain blue in the face of Jump In The Line?
Finally, just to show how special I am: Junior Brown, Broke Down South of Dallas.

"Jump in the Line" is, quite possibly, the greatest happy song of all time. Though I have to admit that all these tunes are making me think a master mix of ultimate happiness should be assembled by someone...
