Today's my last day at the office and I must admit I'm feeling a bit numb. Monday's going to be profoundly weird, as is all of next week really. I'm thinking I'll create a schedule for myself of things to do so I don't end up sitting on the couch staring at the tv all day. I still want to go hiking, I've got some serious chores piling up that need seeing to, and of course job hunting to do.

On the bright side I just got contacted out of the blue by someone regarding a contract gig that might be worth pursuing. In the short-term it's a better option than nothing and would give me a little breathing space when it comes to the bills. We'll see if it pans out. But hey, at least it's something.

A big thank you to cyranocyrano and tersa for coming over to keep me company last night. It was nice not being on my own after a somewhat emotional day and it gave me the excuse I've been craving for watching "Eastern Promises". I liked it a lot, even if a good deal of it was a little more obvious than I'd have preferred. Frankly it would've been worthwhile to me just for the naked fight scene in the steam room. More of that please!

I hope you get through the rest of the day okay. It's great that you might have a contract gig lined up! :-) Even if it's just to give you a little breathing space when it comes to your bills, it's a good thing.

I think you're wise to create a schedule of things to do as it will help keep you focused and prevent you from staring at the TV all day. And you should take the opportunity to do some things you want to do, like hiking.

You know what else would help? Fic. Yeah, especially a new chapter of one of my favorite fics. I think that'd take my mind off my worries quite nicely ;)

Well, then, I'm happy to say that I'll be posting the latest chapter tonight! :-) I'm just not sure exactly when because I'm going to be posting my monster glossary at the same time. At this point, I'm aiming for before midnight so that I can actually post in February and keep my promise. *g*

So...If you're up late, you'll be able to read it. Otherwise, it will be there for you tomorrow. :-)

You're on the east coast-ish, right? If so that means I'm 3 hours behind you so it won't even be that late after all. Hey, maybe I can read it while watching Kindred part 2 even :D
