Yes my friends, the longest hour and forty minutes of your life plus a few pointless drawings and some animation that we didn't end up using in the actual feature so you know it's got to be worth the price of the DVD.

Why must you producers rape my childhood and then slap it on a DVD to mock me with? Why?

Should you wish to see what abomination they've gone with on the cover, click here. Raistlin looks like a spastic, Tanis looks like a greeter at a goddamn Renaissance Faire ("What ho, good pilgrim! Seekest thou fresh ale or a hearty peasant bread?"), and Goldmoon, much as she was in the books, is just kinda there.

At least it's coming out after Xmas so nobody can buy it for me as a gag gift and I won't be forced to then beat them to death with the nearest blunt object after I receive it. So I guess that's something.

Hanna Barbara eat your heart out...is that the Schmoo in the background? Yikes, I love that you called Raist a "spaz," in that "drawing" you are so correct...what the Hell is he doing anyway, looks like he's mimicking a scene from Evil Dead. What were they thinking...oh, right..."They just didn't care".

Read the first two series and then for the love of god stop. Seriously, never pick up another DragonLance book after the first two series.

The first two trilogies were written by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman, the first book was actually played before it was written and it definitely reads that way. If you've ever played D&D you can't help loving the first six books. But after that it turned into this money making organism, mostly because Raistlin developed a huge cult following (well deserved, I might add) and anything they slapped his face or name on would make scads of cash. And of course when it got to that point the quality of the work went straight to hell.

So, again, read the first 6 books then don't pick up anything else with the DL logo on it.

At first I thought he was praying then I realized he was supposed to be gripping his sword. Though Raistlin's staff grip leaves much to be desired...and the staff itself is an abomination. Come on, I mean this one series has had more incredible art made for it than just about any other. Couldn't these assholes have at least *looked* at some of it before they started the project? Jesus.

If you're even vaguely familiar with the tropes of D&D (which were stolen whole cloth from LOTR, of course) you'll be fine. It's just there's a certain added element to the books if you were a gamer.

Well, I do know my LotR. Maybe it's about time I started gaming; I mean, most of my friends are the sort of people who will, for example, walk around with a hat on, and on the hat will be a little pin that says "+5 Hat" on it. :)
