Why, oh why does this man still work for CNN?

On the November 14 edition of his CNN Headline News program, Glenn Beck interviewed Rep.-elect Keith Ellison (D-MN), who became the first Muslim ever elected to Congress on November 7, and asked Ellison if he could "have five minutes here where we're just politically incorrect and I play the cards up on the table." After Ellison agreed, Beck said: "I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, 'Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.' " Beck added: "I'm not accusing you of being an enemy, but that's the way I feel, and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way."

Mr. Beck made it onto Keith Olbermann's Worst Person in the World last night and all I can add is, "Glenn, prove to me you are not a flaming asshole. I'm not accusing you of being a flaming asshole, but that's the way I feel and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way."

I wonder if, should Glenn Beck receive interview time with George Bush (R-Pres, USA), who is a known Christian and elected to office, he would so politely lay aside the political correctness gloves and ask G-Bu to prove to the viewing public that he's not a gay meth addict. Not that Glenn thinks the president is a gay meth addict....

The Man Should be Fired! Air America played enough to make it very plain that Beck was actually declaring that this guy shouldn't be in Congress that he was a terrorist. Ellison was polite and Very American. And this Asshole kept at it! This wasn't a ONE SHOT Question at all!
Oh, I forgot. Ellison is a Democrat and as we all know, Bush has declared all Democrats terrorists. My bad.
Going back to listening to Air America which is probably closer to the truth these days...

On the clip, at least, Ellison didn't even have the opportunity to say much. It was more an accusal than an interview.
