I'm sure everyone's seen this already, but very interesting idea on what the numbers on Lost might be referring to.

And isn't he the exact opposite of our friend Desmond? Who I thought was the devil, but now I'm wondering if he thinks he is in training to be an astronaut?

Now see I thought Desmond was Jesus after the whole, touching Jack then Jack touches future Mrs. Jack and lo she is heal-ed. Then I was mocked mercilessly for said theory so I changed it slightly to St. Andrew instead, as apparently he made it as far as the British Isles so hey, it could happen.

I hadn't seen the picture you linked to before, but I *had* seen the theory that it presents.

Still. I think it's a good one. But I want the numbers to have more meaning than that, too! :)

GPS Coords

I don't watch Lost, but that combination of coordinates is a little naive (did I mention I haven't seen the show?).

Coordinates have positive and negative values and a number of different ways of displaying them (lat/lon, decimal degrees, etc.).

It would seem more plausible to me that the coordinates would be one of the four combinations (lat/lon format):
+/- 4.8.15 lat
+/- 16.23.42 lon

This completely ignores datum and ephemeris, but those generally don't have major impacts on the positioning and I wouldn't expect a TV producer to have the faintest idea of what they are/mean, anyway.
