Weekend: Productive, exhausting, fun at points
Sleep dep: Still in a deficit despite my best intentions
Desire to call in this morning: Strong

I do have a clean apartment, got some serious work done on several projects, finished up my passport requirements and got that stuff ready to be mailed out tomorrow, did all the shopping I'd need to for this week, and went a little nutty at Trader Joe's. They are, actually, quite a bit cheaper than Whole Foods and in some ways their selection is better. They even had Tofutti faux cream cheese in stock, yay!

Tonight is laundry and exercise as it's been much too long since I did both those things. Weight's creeping up again and that is not acceptable. :(

Mom's apparently happily set up in a hotel in London and so far enjoying her trip. :)

Oh and a slight PSA:

I actually mildly liked this week's SG-1, mostly I suspect 'cause they finally got rid of Vala, hooray! Daniel collapsing and being bedridden again at the end was also very good for me. Caught the end of Atlantis while waiting for BSG to come on and I must admit that McCay and Sheppard do appear to be married, so yeah I'm seeing the slash potential there.

Now BSG. My god the writing on this show just keeps getting better...it's so not fair. I know Ron Moore only hires the best but they could spread the talent around a little. I mean one or two of their writers going over to drag SG1 back up would be awfully nice.

All I can say is the scene between Kara and Lee in the locker room is...gah, why can't all shows handle relationships with this level of complexity? And I would damn near kill for a screencap of Kara's face when she delivers the "No take backs!" line. And the acting...I could just watch these episodes over and over again without getting bored, seeing something brand new each time. This one scene had so many layers, was so beautifully and subtly handled. *sigh*

Also everything with Adama was masterful, his quiet rage, Dee telling him off (but in a loving manner), his moment at the crossroads (where I was whispering, "Let it go, Adama, let it go"), and his final decision to do the right thing rather than allowing his emotions to rule him. Damn that's both fine storytelling and fine character development all wrapped up in a layer of smooth as silk acting. Love. This. Show.

I dunno, she did promise him she'd come back for him. I think they're gonna go rescue the rest of the humans on Cylon-Occupied Caprica so we can have a Lee vs. Resistance Guy grudge match. Fun!

Oh, and that kiss hello! Steve had to tolerate me rewinding it a couple of times to see if I could figure out who was supposed to be the one initiating. Hee!

I think we might have to make sure they always dressed in different colors so we could tell them apart, though. Kara might appreciate that too :)

The way I saw it it was all Lee with Kara's response being a startled, "Buh?"
