Did somebody forget to tell me that we now use religious affiliation quotas when it comes to governmental jobs? No? Hmm, perhaps they forgot to tell Mr. Romney:

I asked Mr. Romney whether he would consider including qualified Americans of the Islamic faith in his cabinet as advisers on national security matters, given his position that "jihadism" is the principal foreign policy threat facing America today. He answered, "…based on the numbers of American Muslims [as a percentage] in our population, I cannot see that a cabinet position would be justified. But of course, I would imagine that Muslims could serve at lower levels of my administration."

To which I can only reply, Article VI of the Constitution of the United States: "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."

BTW, last I checked the Mormons weren't that much more plentiful than the Muslims in this country, and according to some surveys even less plentiful. Just sayin'...
