Aug. 17th, 2005 08:26 amI needed the freshly blended goodness of a Strawberry Nirvana (Power size, protein boost) Jamba Juice to get my lazy ass out of bed this morning. It's sad when you have to bribe yourself into getting up, isn't it? My excuse is that Aelf and I were the workhorses of class last night demonstrating everything over and over again for an hour and a half (Aelf stayed later, though) in a very hot studio. Think lots and lots of spinning for the better part of an hour in intense heat. Yeah.
Add to that an incredibly productive and creative meeting at work yesterday that got my brain kicked into overdrive. I've got a vision, no, not one of those scary god is talking to me types, but an idea that I think could be big, really big if we play our cards right. I started coming up with it in the meeting and the boss loved where I was going with it, but I refined it last night (right around bedtime, of course) and now I think it's much better. I'll tweak it a bit today and see how it flies with everybody.
And then, of course, Pye had a bad night and at about 1 in the morning was yowling in the window so he and Kage got their furry rumps booted out of the bedroom for the night. Banishment really does seem to settle them both down immediately when they're being bad. Both were quite contrite this morning.
Oh and I got the Nintendo DS system back at work and was playing with the newest game they sent me, Nintendogs. It is adorable, I have a little Siberian Huskey named Rose who I've so far taught to sit. I've also spent way too much money on her already, so she'd better win some damn contests or we're both going to be eating out of garbage cans in the not too distant future. The microphone allowing you to give the dog verbal commands is disturbingly amusing. I see a minor obsession developing not unlike the one I had over "Monster Rancher 2"...
One last thing, I went to pick up the latest issue of Nightcrawler last night and ( glanced through a British scifi mag with a minor spoiler for next season's Dr. Who. )
