I want this banner so very, very much:

I'd wallpaper a room with it, covering up windows if need be. Yes, I am a scary fangirl sometimes. And I will smack the first person who says "Sometimes?"

This seems to be the week of staying late at work despite my best efforts. But I'm determined to get out on time tonight. Dammit. I will do this.

Went to class last night and flailed through the latest choreography. I think I've got little parts of it but it's just so damn fast. And I know I don't have the footwork yet, which is what I really need before I try to get the body and arms to behave. Gah! Alyne offered a Saturday morning makeup from 10:30 to 11:30 (which doesn't interfere with my lunch plans with [livejournal.com profile] elo_sf, hooray!) and I think I'm going to take her up on it. I can use all the help I can get right now.

Still, despite the flailing I'm liking what I see in the mirror more and more in terms of muscle control. I do think the rowing machine is helping with that aspect and the endurance issue. Now to work off the extra flab so I can be truly content.

Found out there are two haflas this weekend, might be able to make the MECDA one for at least a few hours, but I doubt I'll make Sunday's. I need one weekend day for myself just to get shit done, and oh do I ever want to get some more packing out of the way. I'm contenting myself with the thought that Memorial Day weekend will be mostly reserved for packing and cleaning. If I can get the bulk of the work done before June I'm going to be sitting pretty when it comes time to move.

Aelf arrived home last night laden with packages and goodies to show me. Her new bedleh set is to die for, I covet it muchly. Maybe after I dig myself out of a little more debt (and post-move, post-new car) I can find one like it for myself. Here's hoping.

We swapped stories and talked a bit later than we should have and I think I made it to bed somewhere around 11, and to sleep sometime before midnight. Still, I'm surprisingly awake this morning, go figure.

Galley Slave Rating: Dance class instead of rowing, so probably holding steady at pathetic but improving.

I am literally biting my tongue and forcing myself not to leap up out of my chair and start screaming with joy. Stephen R. Donaldson is returning to the Land! Dear gods he's releasing a new novel this fall The Runes of the Earth! Linden's going back to the Land, to Thomas, to fight Lord Foul!!! My hands are actually shaking as I type this, I'm so giddy. The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever are, for me, the greatest novels ever written and now I get more. This is the most wonderful pre-birthday gift ever! I'm going to be dancing around in a happy haze for weeks.

Oh, but this means I've got to make time to re-read the first two series again before it comes out! Better get started on that pronto.
