Bring on the dancing boys!

Looking ahead to what we can all now confidently say is going to be ENTERPRISE's fourth season. Berman confirmed that he had indeed been in talks with TREK star William Shatner about a guest starring role in Enterprise, and is hoping to fit a William Shatner Guest appearance into Enterprise's 4th season.
And I thought Voyager had safely gone as low as Trek could go...sadly, no.
On an only mildly political note, apparently the president fell off his bike yesterday and John Kerry reportedly responded to the news with "Did the training wheels fall off?" If the man didn't already have my vote locked away he'd have earned it with that one. I have a definite weakness for smartasses. Many thanks to
odogoddess for pointing to that one, it started my day with a chuckle.
This is apparently day 3 of allergies from hell. Saturday was mostly sinus pressure and headaches, yesterday was sneezing and really sore throat. Today is congestion and equally sore throat. Ugh. At least I've got Advil and will spend the day in an air conditioned office.
Got a lot accomplished this weekend including a morning class on Saturday, then lunch with
elo_sf and
philipalden at Best Bite in MV. Mmm, yummy! Then went home and failed my attend hafla roll. Instead I got some housework done and a good deal of laundry. Afterwards Aelf and I curled up and watched a shitload of "Gundam Wing" episodes. It took me a bit to figure out who was who and just what the hell was going on, but I finally got there. Also spent the day finishing up one of my veils. Just a bit more trim to go on the other and I'm done, done, done!
Slept in on Sunday then joined
tersa for the Russian American Fair. Much fun, and oh my god the food! I just had a little bite of a couple of T-'s choices. Very tasty, but I was trying to be somewhat good so I refrained from buying myself anything edible. Did find a pretty amber bracelet for Aelf with an oak leaf design. I broke down at the end and bought myself an amber ring as well. Hey, it was cheap, so I figured why not?
Really enjoyed the performances, particularly the dance finale. How those people had enough energy to dance for an hour and a half is beyond me. And oh so many pretty, energetic, athletic Russian dancing boys. *happy sigh*
It was also nice to be among so many people who pretty much looked like my dad's side of the family. The noses and eyes in particular. I think I fit in pretty well and I had at least a couple of people try to talk to me in Russian before realizing I didn't have a clue what they were saying. :)
Even feeling lousy I went home afterwards and managed to get some dancing and rowing in. Go me!
Galley Slave Rating: Poor, but a step up from pathetic!
