Women. What could you say? Who made 'em?

Sorry to disappear yesterday, but there was the plumber to be dealt with and tamales to be made and I just thought that a day off might be in order. So I took a mental health day and accomplished pretty much everything I wanted to and I'm feeling very good about it today. Very smug even.

What also makes me smug is that I'm now seeing more dead snails than living ones in the mornings, go me!

Now on to some public service announcements:

This weekend, anyone who's not doing the NERO two-day event might want to consider attending Rakkasah for what should prove to be some damn fine belly dancing, great vendors, and superb music. I believe it's $12 to attend, and esmerel, aelfsciene and I are planning to attend on Saturday.

Next, big news, our next class recital will be on August 4 (Sunday) at Shamishiri Restaurant (1392 S. Bascom Ave.). Not only will Ezzy and I be performing, but we're proud to announce the debut of a brand new blue-haired (though she may be red-haired by then) dancer who's sure to be a huge success. So anyone interested in attending you can let me know or just call the restaurant (408-249-5617) and make reservations. The performance will be at 6:30 p.m. and you'll want to make reservations by this weekend if possible.

The big news is that on Saturday August 10 there's going to be a huge bash at Menara featuring 13 dancers! Now I'm planning to make a reservation for my table tomorrow, so anyone who wants to sit with me and the gals let me know by tomorrow morning. If you'd like to make your own reservations you can call them at 408-453-1983, be sure to mention that it's for Ireena's and Lulu's birthday show and as the show starts at 6:30 I'd recommend getting your reservations for 6 (you'll want to be seated and have ordered when the dancing starts). Please, even if you think I know that you want to attend, tell me again anyway, I want a firm list before I make the reservation.
