Downton marriage *squee* Also you go Lady Edith! And god Shirley MacLaine as the mother-in-law from hell (or America) vs. Maggie Smith the dowager grand mama just made me so deeply and profoundly happy.

Is it just me or is Lady Edith basically marrying Remus Lupin?

*laugh* It's not just you! I feel so horrible for her. Wasn't there some Luna/Remus fic out there that was sorta similar? Or am I imagining it?

I don't recall that fic but it wouldn't surprise me. Every time you saw them together I just had this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. She was so into him but you could tell he just wasn't that into her. Yeah I know he used the old "I'm too infirm and elderly and you are too young" thing but I sensed more than that.

As soon as I saw him at the altar pointedly *not* looking at her all I kept chanting was, "Don't you dare, oh don't you DARE!" Poor Edith, I want so much for her to be happy *sigh*. Of course she didn't do herself any favors by telling her fiancee that she wanted taking care of him to be her "life's work". The minute she said it I face palmed.
