In an hour I'll be leaving to see a stage production of "The Lion in Winter" and I found out Depeche Mode is back in the studio and planning to tour again next year...Life is good.

Ooooo, let me know how Lion in Winter is! I love the film, but have never seen a stage production.

The production was small but great, it was very clear all the actors had watched the film and taken their cues accordingly. The actress playing Eleanor basically did a straight up Katherine Hepburn impersonation :)

BTW, this season Shady Shakespeare is doing a spooky version of King Lear and (I am not making this up) Pericles...IN SPACE! Yeah they're doing a 50's sci-fi version of Pericles I could not be more delighted if I tried.

Although there are some who would have appreciated her doing something a bit more original than aping Hepburn, it was quite a good show.

To be fair there really is only one way to deliver the "...a mind like Aristotle and a body like mortal sin" line, and that's precisely the way Kate originally did it :)

I can think of at least three ways to deliver it off the top of my head and would expect a professional to be able to manage half a dozen to start.
