So I've added another member to the menagerie, but in my own defense he takes up very little space



I'd originally thought of calling him Severus but his personality is downright...perky, almost sweet. He's a bit ragged after being cooped up in a little bitty plastic bowl for who knows how long and being deprived of food as well. But after just a few days his color's already improved and his fins are starting to fill out again. So, in honor of the long last homeland of the little guy I'm calling him Si-Fah (basically "sky blue" in Thai). I may be adding a cory to the aquarium as well in the not too distant future and they have these wonderful little glass mirror balls just for bettas to beat up on instead of attacking other fish as they'd like. It's supposed to keep them from getting bored and depressed. I did get him a "hammock" that he's already figured out how to use (did I mention he's terribly clever?). Yeah, all right, I adore him already.

So I was cleaning out his aquarium today and I expected him to go swimming off and hiding but he was right up there checking out everything I was doing. I dropped his little leaf hammock and had to put it back together and he was centimeters from my fingers as I did so watching me do it all with vast interest. I swear I didn't know fish could be this interactive.

Also that Yankee Candle air freshener kit I got is awesome!
