Guess who got her copy of Cabaret in the mail last night *G* And I was right, listening to Alan do "Two Ladies" and imagining it was Kurt leering those "Ja's" nearly did me in. I danced around the kitchen singing while I made couscous and did some dishes. Also got Kage's litterbox cleaned, go me!

Overall an ok episode, it certainly surprised me a couple of times, which was cool. Interesting choice in deaths, I really had expected Andrew to get iced. The D&D scene had me howling, particularly Giles' dwarf character, hee. Was sad to see Anya go to that big Wish Demon Club in the sky...or down below, not quite sure about that. And Spike as the savior of mankind...that I need to ponder a bit more.

Couple of things had me scratching my head, how exactly did Buffy receive her "mortal wound"? And if it was mortal, how in the hell did she just pop back up and start kicking serious ass again? It gave me the same feeling as my "Why in the hell did Jean get out of the Blackbird?" puzzlement. I don't like plot holes, I really don't.

I did like Buffy's ambivalence on the romance front, and I liked the honesty of that last scene between her and Spike. When she said "I love you" and he replied, "No you don't, but thanks for saying it." I nodded. Yeah, that rang really true. She's fully baked cookie now, to use her metaphor. And the concept of fully awakening all the Slayers simultaneously was brilliant. The vision of girls everywhere suddenly coming into this incredible strength and purpose was really cool. Watching some of them go from frightened and victimized to heroines of their own, that rocked.

All in all not a great episode, but I have to say my favorite of the shows I once loved that went on a season or two longer than they should have.

Made the mistake of putting on the original Broadway cast recording of Phantom today as I was driving into work. Had to forcibly remind myself that I can't hit those notes that Christine sings, no matter how much I might want to. Got as far as "Music of the Night" as I backed into my parking spot. Damn Michael Crawford has the sweetest voice. I've heard a lot of Phantoms in my time, but his is always my favorite. And if you haven't heard the man sing "Gethsemane" live you truly haven't lived. Talk about your vocal orgasms...aie, I am such a voice slut.

And nobody wants to go see the Rocky Horror Show? *sniff* Ok, guess I'll go on my own then... *sniff*

. And if you haven't heard the man sing "Gethsemane"

'And if I can get through that note in the middle without my eye popping out, or my trousers falling off, I think we're okay for the rest of the evening.'

Michael Crawford makes me drool...Incomparable. And paired with Sarah Brightman becomes sublime...
Though if you haven't checked Josh Groban out yet, you might want to listen to him! New tenor, great voice. :)

Rocky Horror...gosh, that sounds fun! Unfortunately, I can't get around the feeling of general exhaustion in my life right now. Heh...I was Janet's back-up in a college production. Had so much fun at the rehearsals and being in the chorus group.

Sorry about the Rocky Horror, hun, but it's not my cup of tea. I never got into it like everyone else I seem to know. :}
