Today has been a rather crappy day, I felt like hell for most of it and allowed myself the luxury of lazing around and doing a whole lot of nothing. I've been experimenting with letting Lola out to explore a bit and interact with the other cats. She wandered around and was mostly good, Pye and Kage spent a great deal of time pretending she didn't exist which was just what I'd hoped for. She discovered Pye's toy box and then proceeded to start digging out toys one by one and taking them back to my bedroom to play with later. It was adorable. Things went well for most of the day until she and Pye decided to go head to head and I had to break them up and banish her again.

Ah well, baby steps.

You realize, of course, that you now qualify for "crazy cat lady" status. (If we had one more cat we'd qualify for "crazy cat guys.")

Seriously though, I'm sure they'll (eventually) learn to get along. I would bet you're handling it in the best possible manner.

I'm still hoping to find Lola a real home, I think she'd be better off as an only cat and right now I feel like I'm short-changing Pye and Kage just a little. She's going to make someone a fantastic pet but I just don't see her staying here indefinitely.
