Sep. 24th, 2009 06:53 pmOk so the gals and I decided we didn't need to rehearse tonight which left me with a free evening. It just so happens that I was flipping through channels while eating dinner and Ovation is playing "Behind the Mask" the special on Phantom of the Opera that I saw and loved years ago. I find myself as mesmerized by as the first time I watched it. Gods I love that musical more than any other.
But I did promise to run through the routine at least once tonight so I'm going to have to tear myself away...soon.
Really.
How much do I love the Ovation channel? Too much. First Shakespeare week now "Music of the Night" week? *happy sigh*
Also, guess who got her TiVo up and running? Go me! I christened it with the Daily Show and Colbert Report since I was off at rehearsal last night. Then I figured I'd grab "Eastwick" because the idea of a tv series based on "The Witches of Eastwick" amuses me as a concept. It's probably going to suck, but it is an ABC series so even if it's good it won't last for long anyway.

Date: 2009-09-25 02:54 pm (UTC)Fortunately I now have the power of fast forward and delete, one of the many benefits of not watching real time.
How did you get the TiVo working?
Ah well the problem was mainly that I hadn't attached the new faceplate properly so the remote couldn't talk to the TiVo. Once I did that I initiated the hard drive test sequence (you hold down the pause button until a yellow light comes on then enter the code "54"), everything tested properly so I initiated start-up and boom, all good. For the hook-up I just went with standard dubbing cables so that everything goes through my DVD-R ultimately to the tv. So now I can record either on TiVo or the DVD-R as I please.
