Had a great first day at the new job, met a bunch of new people (most of whose names I actually remember) and quite enjoyed the work. It's steady but intriguing, kind of like doing mini word puzzles all day long, and it's non-stop which is lovely. I never feel at loose ends, I always have something to do. *bliss*

Also my desk doesn't even have a phone. I have no phone, no extension, I will never be expected to talk to anybody outside the company from what I can tell. Again I say...*bliss*

After my last job I almost feel like I'm slacking off at this one. I mean the work load isn't even close. It's almost so stress free I'm finding it hard to comprehend.

Lots of nice people, even if I am the only female in my entire department :) Had some very pleasant conversations and the boss is taking us out for lunch tomorrow. So far I'm quite enjoying myself and actually looking forward to going into work.

I have to admit the no phone thing really was FTW as far as I'm concerned. Also I don't have to report to the CEO any more or run an entire department or answer a million questions...I can just focus on my work. I'm having a little trouble wrapping my brain around it.
