Nothing too exciting going on around Casa Ebonlock, got to have tea with some of my former coworkers yesterday which was nice. Just getting out of the apartment and hoofing it over to Castro St. was pleasant, though the walk took a bit longer than expected. I still made it in time and we had a great chat and then I walked around a bit and marveled at how many new restaurants there are now. How there can possibly be enough people who can afford to and actively want to eat out in this area astounds me.

Maybe it's just because I'm unemployed and broke at the moment and eating out seems so...frivolous.

Aside from that I find myself letting my mood and the weather dictate what I do and when I do it. If it's pretty outside and I find myself thinking, "Wow I'd like to be working in the garden now" then that's what I do. It's incredibly stress-free but at the same time leaves me feeling a little anxious...like there's something I should be doing but I'm not. It's the same niggling unease that makes you go back to your place to make sure you turned the oven off or blew out that candle.

In happier news I heard back from the place I interviewed with last week, they're wrapping up their first wave and should be contacting the people they want to see again soon. Gods I hope I'm one of them because the past two weeks have given me precious little to apply to.

Wow. The fact that they even communicated that much to you puts them a head above, well, just about everyone else you've interviewed with.

It's the same niggling unease that makes you go back to your place to make sure you turned the oven off or blew out that candle.

*laughs* Given the number of times I've accidentally left candles burning when I ran over to your place? I apparently don't possess this gene.

Oh, and I would love to accompany you there again, btw. I get out of here early today (3:30), so just tell me when you want me over.

M'kay. I'm thinking I'll be there around 5pm. If you don't want to grab the pizzas until later, that's fine. I'll bring my notebook and work on the novel a bit. :)

Just wait until you hear my birthday plans for you then. (:
I was going to find a double feature at the Stanford and make sure that you got to attend.

You know I just looked at the listing for my b'day and it was the only weekend double feature I didn't like :( Did you notice that they're playing Bell, Book, and Candle in August? I about lost my shit when I saw that!

It doesn't have to be exactly on your birthday, at least in my opinion. We'll look for something kind of close.
And I did--we'll have to be sure we go see that. (:
