I'm taking some comfort in this:

I mean hey if I continue to find little to nothing in my field and don't get any calls regarding my resume I'll still have the fallback option of whoring myself out, literally. Though I suppose you do need a clientele for that sort of thing.

At any rate, sent out more resumes for positions that seemed pretty darn good fits and custom tailored all my cover letters to make them as attention grabbing as possible. We'll see how that goes I guess. I think a part of me is just treating this week like a vacation. Got to spend some time with [livejournal.com profile] tamago and the egg-lette yesterday, which was just lovely. Did lots of walking and treated myself to some fried rice from the veggie Chinese place. Normally I wouldn't have but I can make at least 4 meals out of that, so it seemed worth the expense. And tonight I'll meet my friend E- for tea, tomorrow I think will be hiking and Friday is the season finale of SGA with [livejournal.com profile] moonlightnrain.

The weekend's also pretty booked, which is a good thing, less time to fret about the job situation that way.

Yay for activity, and sending out emails. Staying busy is psychologically one of the most helpful things I've found while job hunting.
Maybe on Monday we can go for a walk, or work on my story, or we can watch the Stargate season finale.

As far as a clientele goes, I don't suppose you offer discount rates...

You could try SugarDaddy.com, which apparently is a web site where wealthy (mostly older) men offer to pay women for being a "friend with benefits."

I don't know how they escape laws against prostitution, but apparently these arrangements don't count for some reason.

Did I ever tell you an older Indian man once offered me that very type of arrangement while I was in grad school? He even offered to help me with my thesis in addition to a nice little apartment and even a car. It really was all I could do not to laugh right in his face.

I guess The Beatles were right, "money can't buy you love."
