Had a short work day yesterday and a trip to the dental hygienist for a follow up to the antibiotic treatment I had months ago. She did her usual poking around routine and then just said, "Wow!" When she finished poking I asked, "Is that a good wow or a bad wow?" To which she replied, "It's a very good wow."

It would seem my gums have improved tremendously in the past 3 months. Unexpectedly so, and that my somewhat neurotic dental practices are actually paying off. Go me! With concerted effort and sheer bloody minded determination it would appear that some genetic issues can be overcome.

We discussed continuing my regimen and she seemed delighted and astonished that I'd done everything she recommended. I suspect she rarely gets that from patients. I was done in record time and only out $30, so I left with a definite smile on my face.

Got to introduce cyranocyrano to Stargate SG-1 last night and he laughed aloud several times, asked some very good questions, and was generally impressed by the show overall. He's looking forward to watching more which makes me very happy indeed. Afterwards we watched a bit of ST: Enterprise mostly so we could MST3K it, which was a riot. Sometimes it's very good to be a geek.

And lastly congratulations to moonlightnrain for getting her car back well before expected!

I'd be interested, thank you! I keep hearing how it's a great show ... I even read the wikipedia entry and was impressed by the depth of the storyline. I would be grateful :)

The show basically has its own mythology, it's own universe, every bit as deep and fun as that of Star Trek. And if you're a history/mythology fan this one's even more fun than ST. I mean you get the Egyptian gods, Greco/Roman gods, even the Asgard :)
