No specifics, in case you haven't watched it yet, but the episode is completely full of gay. I mean, seriously, when I'M pointing out the subtext, I think it ceases to qualify as subtext.

Actually moonlightnrain and I were both sitting here going, "Jesus the Zuko/Aang shippers are going to be in fucking heaven!" In this episode subtext truly became main text. After that ep Zuko/Aaang is pretty much canon as far as I'm concerned.

But aside from that the moment that the Iroh=Dragon of the West=dragonslayer thing came up I admit I just about wet myself. And then we got to find out that Iroh didn't really kill a dragon and he just got COOLER...which I hadn't thought possible. Also loved that Zuko recognized just how hardcore his uncle truly is in this one :)

Oh-ho-ho yes, the two characters really are just two sides of a coin and gods they've complemented one another beautifully all along but in this episode it was sheer fucking poetry. I happily forgive some of the crappy earlier episodes for what we've seen since the attack on the Fire Nation. My. God.

Just today I watched 12 and 13 online - but I'm so confused!!1 When did I miss them airing on TV? Or have they just not aired in the US? If you happen to know, I'd love to be enlightened. Because I thought I was keeping a pretty close eye out. sigh.

Oh. And. 13? The best thing I've ever seen. I was strongly leaning Zuko/Aang before, and now it is abso-effing-lutely canon.

For some reason Nick, in its infinite wisdom, felt that the American viewing audience could wait for the remainder of the season. Only they haven't deigned to tell us just how long that'll be. So our wonderful, delightful, generous neighbors to the north have been supplying us with them. Bless them one and all.

If this episode doesn't mark the goddamn Renaissance of Zuko/Aang fic nothing will. Seriously.

holy frikken' cow, that was possibly the best episode yet! Gave me chills watching Zuko and Aang realize what firebending is all about. And all the talk about Iroh makes me think he's coming back soon ... maybe even the next episode??

Thanks so much for the heads-up on this one, I've been sitting around wondering when the next ep would be available online and kinda going into withdrawl. I joined that community because I don't think I can go week to week, not knowing what's going on.

I know just what you mean, and I'm trying very hard not to be too angry at Nick for only airing these eps in other countries right now. I mean at least we're getting them, but still... Well worth a shaky start to the season to get episodes this good in the second part :)
