Oct. 17th, 2007 03:53 pmIf you've caught up on Heroes I highly recommend taking a look at Lance Mannion's write up on the last episode. Dead. On.
Tonight on Heroes we found out that an episode of Heroes without Hiro is like an episode of Star Trek focusing on Scotty's love life or an episode of Smallville without Clark but with lots and lots of Lana or an episode of The Sopranos all about Meadow's problems at school or an episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip that's...an episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
Not only did I miss Hiro for an hour, I even began to hope we'd get back to Peter stuck inside The Black Donnellys.
[...]
Catch the way Nathan and Peter's father is looking away from the camera in the photograph? I'm guessing that's so he can be played by either David Carradine or Leonard Nimoy when they finally get around to casting him.
Maya and Alejandro just aren't working, anymore than Ant Man and the Wasp ever worked.
What did Sylar do, walk from the Yucatan to Tiajuna?
[...]
Claire's subplot has been stuck in a loop since Flying Boy talked to her in biology class in the first episode this season. I want to watch more of Mr Bennett at Copy King. At least when he has to replace the toner on the laser printers there's a story arc.
It better not take five episodes to get him and the Haitian to the Ukraine.
There's so much more, go check it out!

Date: 2007-10-18 01:13 am (UTC)That's EXACTLY what I was thinking! I had to doubt my own Heroes prev-ep memory for a moment, because I was like WTF. I don't like doubting myself. Sylar was in the mofo jungle, people!!

Date: 2007-10-18 05:33 am (UTC)I am also happy I wasn't the only one imagining this conversation:
NBC EXEC: The Black Donnellys blows goats worse than Kaus. We're cancelling it.
PADDY: Ah Jaysus, I just brought me whole fam' over from Kildare.
NBC EXEC: Oh all right, we'll eat the cost and chuck 'em in Heroes next fall.
PADDY: And who's not to have their head turned by such blarney flattery? Jaysus Mary and Patrick...
(all this is by way of saying that my DC crew would laugh their asses off at NBC's legion of Fauxnians. Seriously, I do a better Irish accent with two pints in me and I'm from feckin' ALABAMA.)
