Ok it is utterly wrong of me to say this but I'm sitting here watching The Tudors and thinking that I might actually troll around and see if I can find some Cardinal Wolsey/Thomas More slash. Yeah I'm enjoying Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry but Sam Neil is totally kicking his ass as Wolsey. I am just eating him up as the ambitious Cardinal and it's delightful to be able to really respect his work in a role again. Of course I know how this whole thing is going to turn out, but I was still sad when he didn't get the Papacy.

I am just dying to see Wolsey go up against Anne Boleyn, that is going to be epic.

I'm not sure if this goes against my general rule against reading RPS...I mean sure they were historical figures but this is just a fictional version of them. Hmm.

I'm also not sure who I think should be fucking whom in that particular relationship. Though having just watched episode 8 I'd be likely to think the Cardinal would be on his knees faster than a $10 rent boy. I remain shocked that I'm loving Sam Neil right now. After the whole Merlin fiasco I didn't think I'd ever be able to watch the man again without bursting into a fit of giggles.
