ebonlockI managed to pick my solo music last night and start messing around with the choreography part. I'm going to keep it a secret for now, if I actually manage to pull it off I'd like it to be a bit of a surprise for folks. We'll see if I can keep my mouth shut about it for more than a few days };)
Played with my new veils last night and quickly came to the conclusion that the green was so significantly different from the purple that the two could not be used together. Then I got the bright idea of pulling out my rectangular purple just to see how it and the green worked, turns out it'll do quite nicely. So a few modifications and I should once again have my highly desired green/purple pair. Now to learn how to use them.
Kage continues to sulk and even refused to sit on my lap this morning, turning her back to me and lying on the floor. How long can this shunning continue?
As I was leaving this morning I glanced at my front walk to see it literally covered with snails. Curse them! If it's not pouring when I get home I'm going outside and introducing as many of them as I can catch with my compost bucket. I've found that ultimately it's the only way to be sure, short of a tactical nuclear strike from orbit, of course.

I need some time to read up on and ponder this one, but it does seem to me in a way to be more of the American "Because we said so," mentality. I never liked it when I parents used that one on me either.

Though I'm not entirely sure what the question really means, it can be interpreted to be asking whether the protests (protestors) are actively anti-American in sentiment or whether the act of protest itself during this time of war is inherently anti-American in nature. If it's the former then I'd say yeah there was some anti-American-ism if you will, or more to the point, anti-Bush sentiment at the protest I went to, no question. But if it's the latter, I'd have to wonder how the slight majority of folks above defined "anti-American".

I may blog some on the subject of embedded reporting.

Date: 2003-04-03 10:32 am (UTC)Well no, not in and of itself, it doesn't make you a hero and yeah there's a good portion of the protestors who may be out there because they oppose the government in general, Bush in particular, or just want to oppose *something*. But I'd say there are just as many, if not more, who actually do believe what we're doing in Iraq is wrong and who feel that they must protest, their conscience demands it. Those folks I think are doing a good thing for the right reasons.
On the other hand, I think it's pretty clear that anti-Americanism motivates many of the participants in these particular protests.
Many is an overstatement, at least here in the US, now if we're talking about the other countries of the world where protests were being held, then yeah, I'd agree with you on that one.
I may blog some on the subject of embedded reporting.
