For those who haven't yet seen it, the international trailer for OotP (which reminds me a bit of 1984, but maybe that's just me):

In other news I finally got to see The Sun Kings play Saturday night and boy did they put on a show. Four hours of music (minus a few intermissions) if you can believe that. They did a lot of early Beatles stuff which was good, but when they got to the later stuff they kicked total ass. [livejournal.com profile] moonlightnrain and I ended up sitting next to a guy named Clay who was rockin' out right from the start. By the first intermission R- had struck up a conversation with him and by the second we were all excitedly chatting. He was praying they'd do "Old Brown Shoe", "Happiness is a Warm Gun" and "Hey Bulldog" and he got two out of three so he was over the moon. R- got to hear "Eight Days a Week" which is the one she'd been hoping for, but they didn't do my own personal fave, "She's a Woman" so I was a little disappointed but what can you do? We've decided we must go see them next time they play and drag as many other Beatles fans as we can manage along with us. And, hrm, they appear to be playing the weekend before my birthday in Campbell...

And a quick warning, my stomach is super bad right now in new and interesting ways which may require me to go back to the gastro guy. I keep hoping it'll clear up on its own but just so you know, I may need to back out of plans 'cause I need to go home and curl up in a fetal ball. No offense is intended. Now I'm going to go back to drinking my new Pomme/Strawberry Jamba and hope it all stays where I put it.

I'm sorry to hear about your stomach again... I hope you're feeling better soon! Mmm...smoothie.

That trailer gave the excited chills like I wasn't expecting. *giddy*

New and interesting ways? I don't much like the sound of that. :(

Jealous about your Jamba, though. Payday cannot come soon enough here.

I can't wait to see The Sun Kings again, that was such a great show, so sign me up for that one in Campbell. Any interest in seeing Rufus with me in August? He's playing the winery. Might be sold out already, I suppose, but it's worth a try.

Yeah I'd definitely be interested in the August concert, it couldn't hurt to check if there are still tickets available and I've never been to the winery so that'd be cool.

I'm afraid I'll be swooning over a gay man, but hey, what else is new?

I'll look into it and let you know.

Poor tummy. Plans will probably be there next week, so no worries.
And I'm assuming 'pomme' means pomegranite and not 'potato' because, although interesting, it does not sound like a big smoothie seller.

And wow, after that trailer, I'm actually looking forward to seeing this installment.

You know I wouldn't put it past Jamba to make a potato smoothie that I actually liked, but yes that is what I meant. And I'm still up for the movie tonight, I will just bring along Pepto and some antacids and not eat during it and I should be fine.

Sorry to hear about the tummy. Hope it clears up soon.
The Sun Kings sound interesting. Beatles fan since 1964, ie lifelong obsession. I should go to the Campbell show. That sounds like fun.

My mom's a first generation fan, she saw them in concert in '64 and has been obsessed since. Hr favorite game to play with us growing up was "Which Beatle is singing lead on this song?" To this day I always hear the question in my mind whenever I listen to one of their tunes ;)

That was lovely, I'll bet he does a helluva "Oh Darlin'" too :)

I haven't heard him do "Oh, Darlin" yet. Hmmmm...will have to make a special request for that. His "Kansas City" would knock you on your ass though.

Next time we go I will have to take Tierney's camera and see if I can it on video. The kid is just a powerhouse.

I haven't tried it myself, but I know a guy who had horrific rheumatoid arthritis and the drugs they gave him for it left him with bleeding ulcers. None of the pills for ulcers worked, but in desperation and based on a Prevention article he read at his Dentist's office, he tried aloe vera juice - half a cup before bed, and a sip or two in between meals. It stopped his symptoms within a three weeks time. My mother, the nurse and an original flower child of the era, says aloe vera juice is purportedly good for you in many ways, not the least of which is helping your innards to heal if you have ulcers, ulcerative colitis, etc. Just fyi, if you should feel like trying something new. Me, I swear by mega doses of acidophilus/bifidus. Vitamin Shoppe carries the cheapest and best, imho. Nothing less than at least a hundred million organisms. The lower dose ones merely tickle the damn bugs.

Interestingly I started taking Aloe capsules for the heart palpitations 'cause the beta blockers did nothing. They seem to help. But I think I'll try the juice as well for the stomach issues, thanks!
