So yesterday I stepped into a phone booth and emerged Efficiency Woman (a spinoff character of [livejournal.com profile] jakejr's Efficiency Girl), setting up my new place with power and boxing (thanks for those extra boxes, [livejournal.com profile] moonlightnrain!) up most of the rest of my shit. Good god I have a lot of crap. I mean scads of it. Did get the posters all condensed down to a few tubes and realized that even if I wallpapered my entire new place with said posters I'd still have extras. I should open a shop or something.

I actually had a moment yesterday of pondering whether or not to bother keeping all my thesis crap that I've been lugging around from place to place out here. I mean do I really need it? Is it ever going to come in useful in my life again? If I'm doomed to a nomadic existence shouldn't I just pitch it and get it over with? Part of me wished I had a backyard where I could give it a proper Viking send off, but alas I do not and it would simply end up in the recycling bin. It was a helluva lot of work, though, and I'm loathe to part with it.

And I gave myself about 40 minutes at the end of the evening to start on my Avatar mix. I found the perfect songs for Uncle Iroh, Katara, and Sokka and am most pleased. The order of the songs needs a little work but overall I think it's mostly done. Go me!

how about scanning the thesis materials? Is that a possibility at all... then you can dispose of the physical aspects of it and keep the memory electronically.

(we have a high capacity PDF scanner for papers at work for example)

It's possible, I guess, the question is does this thing have any more use for me in my life? Why am I keeping it around aside from the fact that it marks a major achievement. So do my degrees and they take up a lot less space.
