Ok first thing's first, the

Here's what I remember, mind you it went by very quickly and I was busy squeeing so I might've missed some details:

1) Aerial shot of downtown London, all bright lights and skyscrapers so you wonder, hey is this HP? But sure enough a voiceover mentions Voldemort and suddenly it's revealed to be...

2) Sirius Black looking surprisingly sexy (I know, I know, Sirius does nothing for me normally, but still...) nattering on about Voldie's return.

3) Then we go to what you see in the 10 seconds I posted yesterday, Severus growling about Voldie invading Harry's mind and Harry growling, "I'm ready." to which Alan purrs menacingly, "Then prove it!" Alan Rickman is just going to make this script his little bitch, no two ways about it.

4) Harry goes on about how he's going to kick Voldemort's ass while George, Hermione and Fred look on.

5) Proclamations go up in flames.

6) Umbridge is all...Umbridge-y.

7) Voldie is all spooky in the fog.

8) We see some seriously fun broom flying over downtown London and then beside what looks very much like an ocean liner, oddly enough.

9) Bellatrix! Woo! Helena Bonham Carter looks fabulous with a long black and silver, curly wig and she's in the midst of casting a spell when we see her. She's in precisely the same pose as Severus in CoS when he's dueling. I wonder if it's some classical pose that all the pure bloods feel obliged to break into.

10) We finish with Harry riding his broom straight at the camera, looking all grim and determined.

All in all it looks like a helluva film and I really want to see the trailer at least a half a dozen more times I think to catch all the little details.

If anybody wants to see this film I'll happily go again, it's one of the most adorable and enjoyable movie going experiences I've had in years. The music itself was wonderful, covers of everything from 50's rock and roll to hip hop. Nicole Kidman does a delightful cover of "Kiss", and Hugh Jackman is great in his version of "Heartbreak Hotel". The young Mumble was cute beyond words, and when he busts into a dance to "I Wish" by Stevie Wonder, I was grinning like an idiot. [livejournal.com profile] moonlightnrain later on marveled, "How did they get that penguin to look so much like Elijah?" It's true, the big blue eyes, the expressive face, the animators definitely kept an eye on the actor when they started to work on Mumble. No doubt about it. The story was charming, the action fun, the characters all just wonderful. And the soundtrack, well I'm purchasing it and so is [livejournal.com profile] moonlightnrain, so that should definitely tell you something. See this movie, seriously, it's just too precious for words, and one of the few I will be buying as soon as it's released on DVD.

Hey, there seems to be half a sentence missing up there. :(

I seriously marvel at your ability to comprehend images that go by very quickly. I just didn't even apprehend Bellatrix at all.

Thanks for today, it was lovely beginning to end. :) Although I don't think it would have been possible for us to choose two more divergent movies.

So now I'm curious--what else did you see today?
