This trailer for The 300 is just awe inspiring. Wow. I've always been fascinated by the Battle of Thermopylae (they actually did a fun take on it on Xena, with the Warrior Princess convincing the Persians the hard way that Greece was not to be taken lightly) and what I'm seeing of the trailer for this retelling makes me want to count the days until it's released.

Have you read the comic? I have it, and you're welcome to borrow it before I sell it off (single issues, which are going fairly high on eBay), but will probably pick up a trade at some point, too.

Count me in for the movie, though I'll probably lobby for a matinee, as I am wont to do.

No I haven't read it, but I don't think I want to until after I see the film. I like to go into films without a lot of expectations for the most part, but I'm sure I'll want to pick them up after I do see it.
