Bob's your uncle

I really want to be able to write like the folks who are responsible for the BBC series "Life on Mars" someday. The show just keeps getting better every single week...how do they do that? And having a crime show where I don't know within the first five minutes who the killer is and why is so incredibly nice for a change. The acting is consistently fantastic, the soundtrack kicks serious ass, and the overall arc of the series has me utterly fascinated. How can you go wrong with a concept like this, "Modern police officer in London gets hit by a car and wakes up in 1973, he has no idea how or why he's there and is convinced everything he's experiencing is merely some sort of coma-induced fantasy. Is it all in his head, or has he actually travelled through time? Should he try to end the 'fantasy' by whatever means necessary, or does he have to resolve something there before he can go back to the 'real world'?"
I have no idea where the show's going to go but I am loving every second of it.
If you haven't watched it yet, please do yourself a huge favor and look up "Life on Mars" (either online or on BBC America), you'll be glad you did.
Hmm, I think I need an icon...
