Investing in me

I've been so preoccupied with the stomach issues that I haven't really paid much attention to an increasingly worsening bout of sinusitis that's been creeping up on me for the past few weeks. The headaches got so bad yesterday that actions needed to be taken so I invested in some nasal spray and a mini vaporizer. Best investments I've ever made. Seriously, one night's use plus plenty of sleep and I feel like a new woman! Just in time for the Depeche Mode concert tonight, woo!!!

I've wanted to see these guys since high school and finally, finally I get to tonight, and right down the road even. Nothing like a 10 minute commute to a venue :) Wish I could get the rockstar commuter parking, but alas I'll be way the hell out in boonieville as I'm going on my own. I haven't been to Shoreline in ages and I'm looking forward to checking out all the hideously overpriced merchandise, not buying, just looking. Anything I end up liking I'll just look for on eBay :)

Oh I'm sure they will, given how giddy I am about them they'd have to work hard not to please me :)

And given that I end up with them several times a year they suck even more. But hopefully the meds and vaporizer will continue to work their magic until this is all cleared up. I should've realized I was in trouble when I stopped sneezing, that's never a good sign :(

Yah I get them at least a couple of times a year too. Fun aren't they? Ugh.

My doctor recently suggested a new OTC med that seems to work well - Sudafed *Non Drying* ... it's harder to find (neither Safeway nor Albertsons near me has it, but Rite Aid did) and it worked really well for both me and Steve, although he found it made him jittery too (didn't have that affect on me)

I was considering that new Mucinex stuff I keep seeing advertised but was so much more expensive than the spray.

I saw DM at Shoreline for their "Music For The Masses" tour. I was surprised how good a show a bunch of programmers could put on.

I've been wondering if I have a sinus infection going on for a while now, but I'm not altogether sure. Since all OTC meds seem to make me crazy-jittery, I'm curious about this spray. What type is it?

Also, *squee* for DM, but I'm jealous I can't be there with you! :)

I'm using something called 4-Way nasal decongestant spray, but if these things don't usually work well for you I highly recommend getting a little mini-vaporizer. I got one last night which is basically a covered cup that you pour hot water into with a mentholated tablet. It worked wonders.

I hope you feel better soon! I get sinus/head colds once a year definitely, and now it seems I get them twice a year. =P The worst is when they get in my chest and turn into bronchitis.

Have fun tonight! I hate parking at Shoreline because it's such a drag to get out of there, so, if you're willig to do some walking, I could probably drop you off and pick you up if you don't mind the drop off point being somewhere closer to Google... Let me know if you'd like that service.

Heck, it's the least I could do as a partial payback for helping us move last November! I still want to take you out to Baji's as a thank you. =)

Oh I don't mind the long walk from boonieland, indeed it allows me to get in my normal evening walk :) And thankfully I only have a short drive back home tonight afterwards.

As for Baji's, well you know I now owe your hubbie for his help at work, so I should really be taking *you* guys ;)
