So we found out last weekend that our beloved teacher, Alyne, is going to be taking a one year sabbatical from dance. She's left S- in charge, and while I like S- I'm not sure I like her enough to schlepp all the way down to SJ multiple times per week to dance with her. I love my troupe and all the gals in it, but this announcement did kind of make me wonder if perhaps now wouldn't be a bad time to branch out a little. Maybe I could try some different dance forms that I just haven't had a chance to check out yet. MV is offering an adult evening class in Chinese dance that has me curious, and I wouldn't mind taking a few tribal dance classes either.

Not quite sure what I'm going to do yet, but I have until May to figure it out.

Anyway, we did quite a bit of talking after class (ended up being there until 10 pm, actually), about the future of the troupe and our hopes and fears regarding it. I do think we're all committed to sticking together as long as possible, but I can see a lot of spin-off mini troups developing from our gigantic Jewel of Opar. Not a bad thing, but it'll be interesting to see how that works out and who ends up with who.


Many apologies to tersa and cyranocyrano for forgetting to finalize the disc with the season ender for BSG's first season. Hopefully you guys managed to get a hold of tamago and borrow the official set in order to see that. But if not, I'll be home tonight and can easily finalize the disc for you. I'd hate for you to have to wait any longer for that ep.

The most wonderful and possibly infectious Tamago delivered unto us the box set. And it appears that Boomer is SPOILER ALERT a Cylon! We eagerly await the resolution of this problematic situation.

Well there are 12 models, you know. So far I think we know 5 of them, but we haven't seen the season ender for season 2 yet, so that may change.

Oh, and they have a plan. :)

Second of all, I'm a little bit broken-hearted over this news. But I can see you all going off and doing your own mini-troupe things and then coming back together and being better than ever. :)
