You know I totally forgot today was Valentine's (or Cupid's Day to some of us) until a troupemate's son wished me a happy one last night. For some reason I kept thinking it was Wednesday this week. Don't know why. At any rate, may the blessings of the God of Love rain down upon you (should you desire them), and may you nimbly dodge his arrows if you don't.

The occasion was marked by a long, grinding day of no-fun at work, followed by visit to Munjed's, our new favorite Middle Eastern restaurant. Their baba ganouj is to die for ... especially when paired with their dolmades and tabbouli ... *sigh*

Say, you've mentioned some nifty-looking dishes you've whipped up lately - wanna do a recipe swap? Just name the region! (I'm on a serious Thai kick lately, but I'm starting to edge back to India)

My dishes are mostly the store bought variety, but I can at least track down the name of the Thai yellow curry rice I picked up at Trader Joe's if you like.
