I got my long awaited, much anticipated gift from [livejournal.com profile] ravenmb last night (thank you UPS!) and devoured it whole in about an hour. I think it's a new reading speed record for me, but given how long I've been waiting for this and having already listened to the soundtrack for the story, it's probably not too surprising. I called her as soon as I finished and gushed about how wonderful it was, then mildly wheedled for a book two in the series. Yes, I'm shameless.

She was also kind enough to post the story to the Moonshadow archive so I could proudly point everyone to it and say "Go read my Xmas present!" If I get home at a reasonable hour tonight and get my housework done I think I'll curl up and read it again :)

Mmm "book two" I just love the sound of that. But you know as a heartless editor what I'm going to say next...

Trust me, I've got my priorities straight, boss.

BUT, I will jot down a few notes for book two tonight. There's going to be a lot more angst, you realize. :)

You're lucky you have this heartless editor. (:
From my limited experience, most of them would say "There's no market for <whatever you're currently writing>" or "It's great, but you need to get rid of <key plot element>".

Well I should hope so if it takes up after this one. And I'd also hope for at least one Shrieking Shack scene ;)

Well, yes, there will have to be. Told from both points of view, of course. Poor Severus will feel *so* betrayed.

I think that means I'm going to have to watch PoA a few dozen more times. Wanna come over? I'll provide the popcorn and caffeine free diet soda, you provide the pita and hummus. (shut up, I enjoy living in an AU where this could happen).
