Jun. 3rd, 2005 09:12 amYet again just 3 people (myself included) showed up for the costume meeting last night. Our troupe is filled with slackers. Fortunately this means J-, K- and I get to choose the aesthetic, present the finished product and say "Here's what we're doing." As long as Alyne doesn't hate it (and she won't) we're all good. I got the bra basically done last night, though I may want to look for some mirrors and gems to add to it. A trip to Michael's sounds like a grand idea to me right now. And I should have enough fabric to cover a belt and do the half skirt as well. After that it's acquiring black harem pants and making a black vest and that should do it.
I really like the idea of everybody having unique bras that suit their tastes and style. We'll have enough uniformity with the style of the costume and the black elements that we can get a little crazy with the rest.
Quiet weekend ahead from the sound of it, and no houseguest as Aelf is off to Sacramento. Guess I don't have to worry about cleaning the bathroom when I get home tonight :)

Date: 2005-06-05 06:31 am (UTC)Also, I'm really glad I like the whole bra-cover concept thing, as I had no chance in hell of making those costume meetings, which you've made quite clear was required to have any input. ^_~ Now if only I could decide what color combination I wanted to go with. Oh, hm, maybe this would be the perfect chance to do the multicolored thing!
And you really never have to worry about cleaning the bathroom when I'm impending; I refuse to clean ours more than every few weeks because I hate cleaning up after Annie, and she makes most of the mess, so I constantly live with worse. ^_^

Date: 2005-06-06 03:16 pm (UTC)I actually have some ideas for you and some fat quarters to show you. I picked up this rainbow-hued, painted batik one that I thought you might really enjoy. I also found at Joann's some turquoise and some lime green tassles that would work with it (didn't buy those, though). And I've got all the blue metallics too. We can look at the stuff this weekend after class if you'd like.
