May. 26th, 2005 08:30 amOk, I feel slightly better now after reading
anniesj's latest post, which made me giggle a lot. Phrase for the day:
Ohhhh, Thewlis. You make my panties cry.
*nods* Uh-huh. It's always reassuring to know one isn't alone in one's obsessions.
Quick summary of my reactions to the episode:
Slave ship, not pirates- :(
Leslie blows up- :O
Dr. Hero Jack off on another heroic adventure- :|
Shoutout to
jakejr by Locke, "Ever play the game Operation?"- :D
Charlie being adorable- :)
Raft-style male bonding- :)
A crazy French lady stole my baby!- :0
Charlie discovers junkie version of Disney Land- :0
Giant invisible mecha-Predator attack!- :0
Shoutout to me from Locke "The island demanded a sacrifice."- :D
Flashbacks to everyone's last day in Sydney- :)
Hurley trying to make the flight- :D
Noting that crazy French lady heard "boy" not "baby" from "the others"- :0
Trying to figure out who's the biggest "red shirt" on the raft- :(
Discovering that "the others" are really well equipped- :(
Charlie returns little Aaron to Claire- :D
Revelation that Charlie also snagged some smackfarthing- :(
Sawyer removes shirt to leap into ocean- :)
Knowing blip on radar is something very, very bad- :|
"Others" swipe Walt and shoot Sawyer- :0
Remembering what a crap shot Sawyer is and wondering why Michael didn't confiscate the gun shortly after they set out- :(
Raft gets blowed up (did I mention "the others" were disturbingly well equipped and prepared?)- :0
Hurley shows more common sense than all the other islanders put together- :D
Hurley sees numbers, "The numbers are bad!"- :0
Hatch gets blowed up with only a few minutes of airtime left, revelation, it's a real deep hole with a broken ladder, I hope they brought a long rope along- :0
Finding out there's another scene only airing on Good Morning America this morning- :(
All in all an interesting but not fantastic episode. I found myself saying lines of dialogue a second or two before the characters did, which I really wish I couldn't do. Reasonably cliff-hangery way to end the season, and yeah I have to buy the boxed set of eps when it comes out if for nothing else than to go through certain sequences frame by frame. Particularly the monster stuff. That part still fascinates me.
