You know that actually works. Though, Juggernaut? Gah! Still, Kitty Pryde fans get a bone tossed to them and apparently they are doing Angel this time around. Interesting.
Actually, my friend sinful_caesar has a great break-down on the age thingee here which convinced me they aren't off in that respect. Still, I can easily think of other actresses I would have pursued first.
Yeah, but they've given up on the age thing awhile ago. Bobby Drake is one of the founding X-men and they have him the same age (or slightly younger) as Rogue in the movies.

Actually I meant in-series continuity-wise. I mean we've seen Kitty in the last film and she was a very young woman. Certainly younger than the new actress they're thinking of casting. And yes I know I'm asking a lot for them to maintain continuity even within their own film series, but a girl's gotta' dream.
Steve Bacic was Hank in the second movie. Kelsey Grammer is Hank in the new one. Why would they keep continuity when the sheeple have been eating up everything they excrete?

True, but Steve was on a t.v. screen for like two seconds, I think I can forgive that recasting particularly if Beast is going to be a main character in the next film.
As Kitty's my second-favorite character (right after Kurt, natch), I'm furious about even the idea of Maggie Grace cast as her. Like E said, she's too old, the taste of Shannon would never wash out of my mouth and it's just wrong, wrong, wrong. I'd rather have no Kitty at all than her, I've gotta say. What's wrong with the girl who played her in X2?
Also surprised it's not going to be just the Dark Phoenix story, but it sounds like it's not gone entirely. Maybe it's just the general Phoenix stuff, as Jean (or not-Jean, as it turned out) ran around for awhile adventuring in her green and gold togs, and X-men 4 would go into Dark Phoenix. At which point Famke will be way to old, but hey.
Weirdest part? The guy cast as Juggernaut is this skinny little Brit, but somehow I think he'll work. With an enormous muscle-suit, but that's what effects are for. This does confirm I need to rewarch Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, though. o.O
Did you follow my link to the age argument? I thought she argued pretty well that they aren't far off on the age. Still, not a Maggie Grace fan. And give a cute brunette a role, for Xavier's sake!
