tamago and elo_sf down for a copy of the good Doc, if anyone else is interested comment me and I'll make a formal list. Ditto for Cupid, just to make sure my list is complete.
I was just convinced my favorite character curse was going to take Tony in this ep. OMFGWTF?! Brain tumor?! Aieeeee! Fortunately it turned out to be the standard plot device variety of tumor (i.e. dramatic, but ultimately benign and non life threatening), so that was good. And of course he didn't let it stand in the way of bringing down a mad dog killer.
However, it was the end that got me. Tony offhandedly comments to Carol in one scene about how he'd like to relive a weekend of lovemaking in Paris with her to which both she and I replied, "That never happened, Tony." So at the end he finally decides that he needs to stop making excuses and actually just pounce on her. I was freakin' cheering him on all the while muttering to Carol, "Do not be a schmuck, drag him off somewhere for a nice long bout of mad shagging you stupid woman!" Of course what does she do? Makes an excuse not to go make sweet, sweet love to the man. And they leave the end of this season with Carol indecisive and Tony pensively awaiting her decision. In my mind she looks over the car at him and says, "You're right, this is stupid. Take me, you wild, passionate profiler. Ride me like a pony." If she doesn't do that very thing I'm going to lose so much respect for her, I can't even tell you.
Gah, I both love and hate a lack of dramatic resolution.
It's just devastatingly gorgeous outside today, warm, sunny, beautiful. And I've got a pretty picture of Aragorn to look at on my daily LOTR calendar. Life is good.
