Brilliant! I'm not very good at putting tech toys together and getting them to work. For further justification, for the parental units or anyone else who may question the wisdom or necessity of making DVDs from tapes: tapes degrade after a while. For any show (like Cupid) that's not out on DVD officially (and may never be) those DVD-recorder thingies are a godsend. Preserve those shows! It's your civic duty. :)
