So it's Christmas in April as my friend J- sent me this year's gifts just a little late :) I now have a copy of the LOTR Trivial Pursuit game which I had to take out of the box and look at last night. You get little figures to play with as well as the usual accessories and two dvd's! Very cool, I can't wait to play it. Though I suspect Aelf will kick my ass.

I also now own an Ionic air purifier. As I told J- last night it seems to make a very soft hum sometimes and has a pretty purple light indicator, but I'm not entirely sure what it's doing besides that. We shall see I suppose.

I was again ridiculously productive at work, then went home and did all my chores and cleaning before sacking out on the couch to watch The Daily Show and work on my pearl bra. I should have the prototype ready for viewing on Saturday, which is my goal, so the troupe can decide if it's the kind of thing they want to do with the next costume. If not, well I'll just make myself a matching belt and voila, new costume.

Alas, poor Boone, I knew him well, Horatio. He was a boy of barely cocker spaniel-like intellect and rather limited jest. In fact, I'm not entirely sure he had the higher brain functions necessary to have a sense of humor. Still I felt bad that Locke picked such an unfortunate time to have a crisis of faith in the island gods. For me, it was crystal clear, they required a blood sacrifice in return for all the bounty they have bestowed upon the survivors. All hail the mighty island gods!

I did whimper a bit for Boone's predicament when his lung collapsed. Why? 'Cause I knew what was coming next, that's why. Sometimes being a medical show junkie can give you a little too much information. Though why, after ramming a piece of metal through the guy's chest, Jack would later be surprised to see Boone coughing up blood was a bit of a mystery to me.

And after the whole revelation about Dr. Hero Jack's little blonde wife (and the whole "He fixed me" speech at the rehearsal dinner was just creepy, I mean deeply creepy), did anyone else wonder if he'd feel obligated to then marry Boone if he survived? Well at least it would've freed Kate up to just go and have wild monkey sex with Sawyer at long fucking last.

I would also like to say that Sayid can take me on a tropical island date any time. Though I loved Shannon's beautiful skirting of the truth when she told him about her and her brother. Oh yeah, Boone's the screwed up one. Sayid's reaction of totally understated but very visible, "That is so not right" was a joy to watch. I also loved her "can we take this slow?" speech because my brain was filling in Sayid's thoughts, "Honey, where I come from you'd already be considered the town slut." Slow? Oh, right, Shannon probably couldn't locate Iraq on a map if her life depended on it.

Was anybody else screaming at the t.v. when Jack turned to Drunk Dad for advice on the eve of his wedding? Jesus god, if we've had one thing proven to us time and time again it's that you never go to Drunk Dad for advice. Ever.

The less said about the Claire birth scene the better, it was mostly goofy and inaccurate, and again medical shows have given me far too much information. Though I did like Charlie and Jin bonding in the "waiting room".

Lessee, Jack nearly bleeding himself dry to save Boone was perfect. Of course Boone spilled just enough of the beans to give Jack all kinds of crazy ideas about what's been going on out in the jungles with Locke. Oooh, and I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on what Boone was trying to tell Shannon at the end. My own theories:

1) "Tell Shannon...it was the best 10 minutes of my life."
2) "Tell Shannon...Dr. Phil says the incest thing doesn't necessarily mean we're freaks."
3) "Tell Shannon...when mom called her a 'filthy skank ho' she didn't really mean it, and neither did I. Much."

Also it bugged me profoundly that only 5 people on the entire island know their blood type so I'd like to take an informal poll. Do you know what your blood type is?
