I seem to be mending at long last, go figure. If it weren't so damn early I'd probably be more excited about this. Luckily I have my very own psychotic Siamese alarm clock so I didn't have to worry about oversleeping this morning. Oh no, he made damn sure of that.

But I'm not bitter.

Anyway, had a great weekend thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ravenmb and [livejournal.com profile] aelfsciene, who were both very understanding and willing to modify our plans to include me back into them (despite my physical limitations). It was so nice to be able to see the BSG season ender together, particularly to see Raven's face when a) dozens of naked Sharon-bots were shown, and b) the big surprise ending occurred. I'd already had that a bit spoiled so I could take the time to focus on her reaction. Priceless. Don't want to say too much for those who haven't seen it yet, but I am delighted to note that the remaining members of humanity on the colony ships are doing more to destroy themselves than the Cylons ever could. It's nice that the series continues to emphasize that the greatest threat to us is often...us.

Saturday turned into a bit of a lazy day, but we all decided to go BSG costume shopping (at the Army/Navy store, of course) and to get some dinner at Garden Fresh before going home to watch the BSG miniseries dvd and extras. If I weren't already mad about Starbuck, seeing Katee behind the scenes would've certainly been enough to do it. When asked how she'd respond to negative response from the fans at Comicon she just grinned impishly and replied, "I'll just flash 'em." My hero!

During the evening's viewing we all settled in with projects and Raven, my other hero, managed to get the video and network card drivers re-installed properly on my laptop (dubbed Mr. Gonzalez), yay! A little tweaking on Sunday morning and I had both up and working like they'd never been broken. Now I'm just some functioning audio drivers away from 100% on it :)

Sunday started much later than I'd hoped (thank you *so* much Daylight Savings), but I got some much needed chores done, including a couple of loads of laundry. Then spent a lot of the day tinkering on the laptop. It still plays with my head to be able to use the net from the comfort of my futon, but I like it.

I think I can trump psychotic Siamese alarm clock: try a jackhammer digging up the street under your window. Ugh. Also, there was scotch last night, making this oh so much worse.

I had no idea you were focusing on my reaction. I think it must have been just plain stunned. And I still say you both suck for knowing the ending, even if it was accidental.

Thanks again for hosting me.

Oh, and tell me when you work on your quilt kit again. :)

*wince* Oh ow!

Thanks again for hosting me.

Thanks again for having the patience to whip my laptop back into shape :)

Probably this weekend, I want to finish up the pearl bra covering this week, then I'll get back to the quilt. I should probably finish it up while the weather's nice and cool...

Ah, but what about the cadre of naked Sharons?

You know everyone else was much more excited by this than I was. I don't know, something about a bunch of cloned robot-y Sharons just does nothing for me. The naked part was fine, but I'd prefer a singular non-roboty Sharon and preferably in my bedroom and not in the blood-and-guts interior of a Cylon Battlestar. :)

Yeah. Although I wouldn't kick her off of, say, a deserted tropical isle or the pool at the base of a waterfall in the amazon or whatnot.

Mmmmm, no, no, I wouldn't either. But my hotel room this past weekend with its king sized bed and 400 count Egyptian cotton sheets would've been nice too....

Woo! Definitely wouldn't have kicked her out of that!

Or Starbuck, for that matter!
