Venture Brothers fans, go check out these fabulous sigs, I have already hit the artist up for one of my very own and if I get it I'm going to squee like mad.

Work flew by yesterday and I was out of the office and down to Whole Foods in record time. My freezer is now fully stocked, and I am pleased despite having to walk the gauntlet when I got home last night. The cats glared at me, having been denied dinner an extra hour. I gave in and let them have soft food, which seems to have placated them.

Watched some fresh anime and got to see my beloved Soji as the prettiest boy anime character ever in "Peacemaker". All he needed was a bow in his hair and voice or no he would've been a girl. Somehow this pleases me more than it should.

Also got to catch "The Murder Rooms", the new Mystery episodes in a series that incorporates some of the elements of Sherlock Holmes in odd and interesting manners to tell the fictional story of young Conan Doyle and Dr. Bell (upon whom Doyle claimed Sherlock was based). Really good stuff, and last night they did "The Solitary Cyclist" with enough of a modern twist that I didn't see it coming until a few seconds before it was revealed. Very well done, and I adore the actor playing Doyle. Next week's may give a glimpse into Doyle's future as a spiritualist, something I've always found absolutely fascinating, so I'm looking forward to that.

And I'm making good headway in "Fingersmith", so go me!

You make this sound like a chore!

The chore part is scraping together the time to sit down and read at least a chapter at a time. I can't bring myself to stop mid-chapter at this point because it's just too damn good.

*laughs evilly* Okay, that's an excellent response. And, as I recall, those chapters are lengthy. Certainly lengthier than the ones in the book I'm trying to finish.

Speaking of, I packed DL in my backpack to take down to the theatre tonight. Sometimes I get downtime there and sometimes I don't. Sometimes I use my downtime in front of a slot machine. Heh.

Which part are you at? I just got to the scene where Sue (somewhat reluctantly) convinces Maud to run away and marry Gentleman myself.

Awwww.

Our heroes are currently in a tunnel under a dragon and everything just went black. There's lots of doubt that Raist betrayed them. *sigh*

Er, or a sentence that actually makes sense. Sorry, I'm distracted today.

Yes, the party motto is, "When in doubt, blame Raistlin." The fuckers.

ALSO, I should note that I didn't get to read as much as I wanted to on my afternoon off because I had three writing assignments. Three.

As I recall, I was asked to show some pity, and I complied. Or, well, at least postponed.
