Easy one if you're a Bogie fan.

Can I just say a big public thank you to [livejournal.com profile] tersa for being a very firm angel on my shoulder yesterday and talking me into going to class? Tired I was, yea verily, but much fun was had and damn I love this new routine we're doing. I want the music so I can practice at home and get the routine flawless! It's just so much fun I can't even put it properly into words, but [livejournal.com profile] forkmonkey, if you ever do take us up on that dance routine we agreed to at the auction I think this is the one we should do. We could teach [livejournal.com profile] tersa the number in nothing flat. It's fast, fun, and we end up shaking in the most interesting places }:)

Also cool from last night was [livejournal.com profile] aelfsciene both realizing that belly dancing is a helluva workout for muscles she didn't even know she had, and getting that "I will conquer this!" gleam in her eye. I think she's really starting to enjoy it, and that makes me profoundly happy. Nothing's better than sharing something you love with those you care about.

And can I just say "You go girl!" to [livejournal.com profile] esmerel? She just blows me away in every single belly dance 2 class. Not only is she incredibly fun to dance with (nobody I'd rather do "Tinni Minni Hanem" with, hon!), but focused on conquering that veil routine. If I had half that drive and determination I might just be a damn fine little dancer. If she ends up doing the bd2 routine at the recital I'm going to be cheering loud and enthusiastically, she's got way more balls than I'll ever have.

On a slightly sadder note, looks like I won't be doing NERO after all on the 27th. Sorry, guys, but there's a big belly dance festival in Oakland and I'm afraid it's my first love (and addiction). I'll make it up to you, [livejournal.com profile] mallen and [livejournal.com profile] tersa, promise! But it's belly dancing and costumes and music and...well, so much for being debt free on my credit cards *sigh*

*blush*

Remind me tomorrow, I'll show you the very next part of the doubleveil routine. It's *easy* compared to what we have so far. couple of figure eight things.

You just like doing Tinni with me cuz I always take the hard side! =)

And sadly, none of the music on the CD appears to be what we are actually dancing to. Grf.

I'll try to remind you, you try to remind me to make another veil. My purple one works beautifully, the green one doesn't flow right and makes catching it a bitch.

And you're right, you do always take the hard side in Tinni }:)

Hmm, maybe we could hit Shira up for a practice c.d. BTW, if I give you a tape tomorrow can I get you to make me a copy of the c.d. you did get? I'd like to have those pieces anyway.

In that case can I borrow yours briefly? I have a CD/tape player at home.
