The above was inspired by a stop at Office Max last night which featured lots of families shopping for back to school supplies, a howling infant, a line that didn't move, two checkers, and me with some blank CD-R's and a new mouse. That was one of those times that proved once again it's best I don't have the ability to make people catch on fire with only the power of my mind. On the plus side I do have a nifty new mouse.

Ooh, and before I forget, there's a great thread regarding bullying in the HP universe and Snape in particular that's quite interesting. If you're so inclined please do give it a read.

Got lots of little things done last night, nothing major or noteworthy, but it left me feeling pretty accomplished anyway. Spent far too long working on an animated GIF icon for Hero as it comes out in US theaters this week. I only managed to get it down to like 250+k in size, though, but it's awfully pretty. I may work on it some more tomorrow to see what I can do. Still debating seeing it in the theaters, it'd be really nice to see it on the big screen. The movie is lavish to say the least and the use of scenery and color makes me want to weep. I think it'd be worth the price of admission just to watch the fight in the autumn forest.

Saw a brief commercial that looked like it was for another HK sword flick, though I'm blanking on the title now. I'll have to keep an eye out for it 'cause I liked what I saw in the commercial. Of course I'm a total sucker for that genre, so take it with a grain of salt.

I picked up this cool stuff at Target on my last trip. It's a huge bottle of 3-in-1 (bubble bath/shower gel/shampoo), lime scented. Aside from noting that it wasn't tested on animals I had to have it for the quote on the front, "One lime to rule them all!" :)

Oh and got suckered into "Dogma" again last night. I can't help it, Alan Rickman as the Voice of God, c'mon.

Dude, if it comes out on IMAX there is just no question about going to see it.

You're probably way ahead of me on this one, but John Kerry will be on the Daily Show tonight.

I've read a bit of the coverage from his original appearance at 11 last night, but I'm looking forward to seeing the real thing. My VCR's kinda wonky, but I'll just set it up to run while I'm at class. Thanks, though!

You and me both, honey. There's nothing like eating chocolate mousse ice cream while listening to AR talk. ::wibbles::

Or sing, I re-watch the bit of "Truly, Madly, Deeply" where he does "The Sun Ain't Gonna' Shine Anymore" so often it's rather sad. Though his "Warming my lips..." line damn near kills me. The delivery is toe-curlingly yummy.

Now, see, I can't watch Truly, Madly, Deeply. That movie broke me into little tiny pieces the first time I saw it, and I have not been brave enough to watch it again, even for AR.

Try just watching bits of it, it lessens the emotional bootkick to the head. Though no matter how well prepared I am the return scene and when he recites "The Dead Woman" in Spanish I am broken, broken, broken.

You ask for miracles I give you the F B I.

Next time I see the commercial I'll pay more attention, I think the title had "sword" in it, but that's about all I remember. It looked cool but I didn't recognize any of the actors nor did I catch the release date, sorry!
