This I just had to share, by way of [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda who continues to post the coolest stuff ever on a daily basis:

It's a comic summary of all the HP books that must be seen and enjoyed and giggled over. The Lupin panel nearly killed me. Text:

"There is a new DADA teacher. He/She is probably evil because Dumbledore is an idiot and keeps hiring nutjobs. Except for Lupin who is generally awesome."

It's the little heart over his head that did me in.

Although the Hermione panel was pretty damn giggle enducing too:

"Somewhere in the middle of all this, Hermione comforts Harry and shyly flirts with Ron. Trio fans feel vindicated. Harry/Hermione fans and Ron/Hermione fans wave war. Harry/Draco fans are re-reading the potions scene and yelling 'OTP'."

What are you still doing here? Go read it for crying out loud!

Had a lovely evening of tea with [livejournal.com profile] jimweasel and then zooming home to feed my starving kitties. Played with them for a bit while paying bills (so many fewer now, hooray!), then hopped online to download the PotO trailer. Watched it about a dozen times because I am a huge flaming fangirl and pretty pictures set to that score make me squee. And oh it is pretty, so very, very pretty. Mentally matched every sequence to the score in my brain and was a bit puzzled by the flamey stuff going on in what I presume to be "Don Juan Triumphant". Mmm-kay. As it's a Schumacker film this will probably be the least of my problems with it.

Wasn't impressed by the new slave girl costumes, but I'm biased. Did get a kick out of Minnie Driver's Carlotta, that should be fun. But I want to hear the voices, dammit. *sigh* Grabbed a bunch of screencaps which will undoubtedly be turned into an icon or two when I get the time. My favorite bit I think was the intensity of the last few seconds, image, fade to black, image, fade to black timed with the footfall music from the "Why so silent, good monseiurs?" part of Masquerade. Nice.

Will the movie suck ass? Oh probably, but it's coming out at Xmas and I will undoubtedly be here on my own so it gives me something to look forward to. It's probably best that I see it alone the first time, to avoid embarassing anyone else with my post-viewing tantrum.

Although speaking of films that will undoubtedly suck ass, anyone up for AVP when it opens? I don't care if it's horrible, I've been addicted to the game for years and watching Predators slaughter Aliens and monkey-boys alike is too good to miss. Saw a new commercial last night where a little baby alien is being held by a Pred who's so totally thinking, "Oh bitch please". And the Preds have new weapons, woot! I need someone to go with me, though, to tell me when the chest bursting scenes are over, I just can't watch those.

Ooh, I've acquired new duties as a minor goddess, this pleases me...so long as worshippers are included :)

Hm. I didn't know AVP was written and directed by the same guy who wrote and directed Resident Evil. When are we going? It opens on Friday.

Well according to MovieTickets.com (http://www.movietickets.com/house_detail.asp?house_id=1163) it does seem to be playing at the SJ drive-in starting this weekend. I think Aelf's out of town and I said I'd wait to go see it with her, maybe the next Saturday evening?

If we go to a matinee, I believe I could budget a trip in to see some asses get sucked.
