I'm just going to keep throwing obscure quotes at you all until someone dares to guess which movie they're from. I'll give you a big hint on this one, it costars Greer Garson and Joan Crawford. C'mon, somebody out there besides me must watch classic films at least once in a while.

Well tonight is supposedly the night, we get to do a walkthrough on the house and should (barring unforseen events) be handed our keys. This is both a good and bad thing. Good because it means we can get started moving and some of the intense stress of the past few weeks will dissipate. Bad because I can't possibly do anything until Friday and having to wait that long is going to drive me nuts. Allow me to introduce you to another of my personality quirks, Instant Gratification Girl.

Last night was challenging, but good on a variety of levels. I'm feeling physically ill just now, not sure what's wrong, just tired and achy and weak feeling. Probably it's just stress and being a bit rundown lately, and of course fretting about money...probably. In any case I really didn't want to go to class, I wanted to curl up in a little ball and hibernate. But, thankfully, I knew that [livejournal.com profile] aelfsciene and [livejournal.com profile] esmerel were counting on me to go, so I dragged my lazy ass out of the apartment. I'm glad I did, I felt a lot better afterwards, tired and sore, sure, but like I'd accomplished something. And I think I pretty much mastered one of the new double veil moves! I even got to show it to one of the gals in the troupe, go me!

It was also very nice to meet Ez's mom, who was funny and charming and very knowledgeable about costuming. I liked her a lot, and hope I get to see her again at the wedding/reception.

Speaking of which, this weekend is way too damn busy. I'm determined to go to Pride, though, on Sunday. The parade begins around 10:30 so if we train up we're pretty much going to have to leave at the crack of dawn (8:00 a.m. anyone?), then [livejournal.com profile] windrose and I are hitting the Castro briefly and probably heading back. I'd love to go check out the booths and such, but the call of moving is strong and not easily ignored. So anyone interested in Caltrain-ing up to the city Sunday for the parade let me know.

Oh, and if there are any good, kind souls who would like to lend a hand on July 4 (morning/afternoon) with just taking a load of boxes over from either Aelf's or my places you'd be worshipped like the divine beings you are. Our big moving push won't be until the 13/14th, so that's when we'll really need some strong backs and arms as we're determined to do the entire move by ourselves. It's just cheaper that way, and money is a big concern at least for me right now. Any help offered is greatly appreciated.
