I managed to catch the amazing second period of last night's game while eating dinner last night. I have to say Cheechoo gets props for the two prettiest playoff goals I've ever seen. Though I was really ashamed to admit that Teemu used to be a Shark after that blatant dive of his. Hey, if the only way the Avs can score is on a 5 on 3 that says a helluva lot about our team, doesn't it?

While watching the game Kage hid somewhere in the house and Pye gave me a wide berth. See I'd just taken him to the vet to get another shot for his licking problem. The vet's pretty sure now that it isn't food-based and says if it comes back in another month he's going to set me up with a specialist. I love Siamese dearly, but sometimes I wonder if the breed isn't a little defective as a whole. Broken or not, I love the little guy and if he needs to see a specialist to get well, then so be it.

Neither cat could relax until I put the carrier out in the garage and settled into the papsan. Pye still gave me the cold shoulder most of the night and only relented after I got back from class.

Speaking of which, boy have I ever missed dancing, even if it was only for a week. Tuesday nights seem to be pretty empty, which is cool. We started the Tammerhanna drum solo in earnest last night by learning the last few steps. Yes, Alyne often teaches choreographies backwards, I'm not sure why. Anyway, I think I can nail the ending and that's something. We all stood around chatting for about a half an hour, which was cool, and just being around Alyne again lifted my spirits immeasureably.

I have to admit, though, that through the first half of class I was wishing I'd brought my walkman along so I could listen to the last 9 minutes of the game :(

Ah well, I saw enough on ESPN to convince me we'd won, but had to change the channel when they kicked into the loving Forsberg retrospective. Barry managed to get "best hockey player in the world" in twice, which impressed me a little. Still, it was so saccharine, and there was so much wailing and gnashing of teeth that I had to change the channel. Yeah, it's too bad he and the Avs aren't going any further in the playoffs, but hey how about a little love for the Sharks? Sheesh.

It's actually quite simple. If they're wearing teal, you cheer. If they're not wearing teal, you boo.

I still say it's going to be damn hard to boo Kipper. :(

You'll just have to get over the difficulty for the good of the team, hon.
