Kevin Pollack was on the radio this morning doing his dead on Captain Kirk impersonation and telling the story about meeting Shatner and helping him with his book. I was absolutely dying. Sometimes morning radio can actually be entertaining.

Putting 'em back here in case of spoilage. I have to say I was quite pleased with the end of the show. I think ultimately the right person won the money, though Nichole really impressed me a lot as a person. That might be because she handled the situation in much the same way I think I might have under those circumstances. The final trial was interesting and it gave me great joy to watch Eric wimp out and give up after only about half an hour. Little bitch. I felt like partying when his ass got thrown out.

I liked the 5 rites of passage bit and would happily volunteer to run around naked with Avocado any day of the week. Art continued to impress me as jut an all around decent and cool guy. Iya Tashiya and Don actually got some major points from me for being surprisingly level-headed and non-judgmental when it came to the final two contestants. But Fiona...ugh, I begin to think one of the chicks from "Charmed" would've been a better representative of the Wiccan belief system. What a fucking prima donna. And oh how I wanted to bitch slap her when she was going on about Eric and how awful she thought Nichole was. Would you buy a fucking clue, woman? Gods!

Bringing back the old contestants was interesting, though sitting Kelly and Tim next to each other was disastrous. Bonnie finally having to tell Kelly to shut the hell up was priceless. As was the voting by the contestants. Only Bonnie voted for Nichole and against the rest. I knew Bonnie was the wisest of all of them.

Ultimately they made the right call and watching the final elimination I was struck by the fact that everyone was finally being really sincere. Even Don, which kinda surprised me. I do think if you looked at it as a competition that Nichole should win, but I'm glad Jamie went home with the money. She actually had changed and needed that money to move on with her life. The final moments were really sweet, particularly Avocado (who cast the final vote) hugging Nichole and just sobbing with her. Aww.

Right, lots to do today, including wishing [livejournal.com profile] tersa the very happiest of birthdays. I'm very pleased to get to spend some time with her tonight for relaxing, chatting, gifting, and yummy food. Now to make it through work *sigh*

Oh, and for Aelf:
